1) India International Trade Fair 2009
India Trade Promotion Organization the nodal agency of Government of India; is organizing "INDIA INTERNATIONAL TRADE FAIR"- every year from November 14-27. The 29th edition of IITF is organized at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. Government of Gujarat through its nodal agency iNDEXTb will be participating in IITF 2009 at Gujarat Pavilion, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. The theme for IITF 2009 is EXPORT OF SERVICES and accordingly, preparations have been initiated to develop exhibits centering around this theme over a space of 700 sq mtrs in Gujarat Pavilion. Apart from this, to give a varitable platform to the Gujarat based artisans, a space of 300 sq mtrs has been booked in Hall No.18 where 50 stalls will be developed. The selection of artisans and allotment of space to them are done by INDEXT-C.
iNDEXTb has been organizing the participation of Government of Gujarat in the Gujarat Pavilion from 2004 onwards. In 2005, Gujarat Pavilion bagged Gold Medal for excellence in display, in 2006 it was awarded Silver Medal and again in 2008, Gujarat Pavilion was honoured with a Gold Medal among all the state pavilions.

India Chem Gujarat 2009
Over the last decade, India Chem has emerged as truly global shows on chemicals in our country. To give a further boost to this growing sector, FICCI along with Department of Chemicals and Petrochemicals, Government of India, Government of Gujarat through iNDEXTb is organizing an International Exhibition and Conference on Fine, Specialty Chemical, Agro Chemicals and Colorants Industry to Understand issues & developments concerning the industry and to provide them a platform for networking and business promotion in the state of Gujarat.

3) Pravasi Bharatiya Divas 2010
Ministry of Overseas Indian Affairs, Government of India has been organizing Pravasi Bharatiya Divas every year from January 7-9 to commemorate the return of Mahatma Gandhi back home from South Africa. The 8th edition of Pravasi Bharatiya Divas (PBD) Convention would be held at Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi from 7-9 January 2010. The Convention will be inaugurated by the Hon’ble Prime Minister and the valedictory address will be delivered by HE the President of India. Many eminent PIOs/NRIs and other important guests from India and abroad would be participating in this Convention. It is envisaged that more than 1500 delegates are likely to converge and interact in the Convention. Ever since this event was held from 2003 onwards, Government of Gujarat has been regularly participating with a high level delegation led by Hon’ble Chief Minister. There will also be a plenary session on 9th Jan 2010 which will be addressed by the Chief Ministers of leading states including that of Gujarat. Apart from this, there will be a separate Gujarat session on 9th Jan 2010 which also will be chaired by Hon’ble Chief Minister of Gujarat. There would also be a trade and industry exhibition with participation from corporate sector, financial institutions, state Governments, NGOs and others. Gujarat also will demonstrate its progress achieved over last 50 years as also the novel initiatives that the Government has launched in the recent past through Gujarat pavilion. iNDEXTb has been assigned with the responsibility of coordinating all the activities as a nodal agency on behalf of Government of Gujarat.

4) Plexpoindia 2010
PLEXPOINDIA 2010: Gujarat State Plastics Manufacturers Association (GSPMA) – Ahmedabad has planned to organize PLEXPOINDIA 2010. It is the 5th National Plastics & Packaging Exhibitions from 9th to 12th January, 2010 at Ahmedabad. GSPMA is a 40 years old organization. The Venue of the Exhibition is Gujarat University Exhibition Centre. Around 450 – 500 exhibitors and One Lakh Entrepreneurs are expected to have their presence during the exhibition.

5) International Conference on Buddhism
The Government of Gujarat and the Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda are the Organizers of the “International Seminar on Buddhist Heritage, Gujarat ” to be held in Vadodara, Gujarat, India. This seminar is meant to share the archaeology and history of Buddhist past of Gujarat with the academic world and also to introduce you to the Buddhist Heritage sites of Gujarat. The seminar is scheduled to be held on January 15, 16 and 17, 2010.
The International Seminar will focus on four major areas:
- The Archeology and History of Buddhism
- The Philosophy of Buddhism
- Conserving the Buddhist heritage
- Developing Buddhist tourism in Gujarat

6) India International Salt Summit 2010
Gujarat is a leading industrialized state in India. It has a very well-diversified industrial base spread all across the State. While the state encompasses the entire gamut of various sectors of manufacturing activity, its main dominance is in the sectors of chemicals & petrochemicals including salt-based industry. Gujarat accounts for almost 70% of India’s salt production and therefore, Ahmedabad, the business capital has been choosen as the venue for holding India International Salt Summit.
The three day conference proposed to be held from January 22-24, 2010 at the Nirma University Campus is jointly held by Indian Salt Manufacturers’ Association (ISMA), Salt Commissioner, Jaipur and Industries Commissioner, Gujarat. iNDEXTb has also been providing active support to the Summit Organizers.
During the Summit, papers with specific emphasis on Mechanical means available for up-gradation of the quality of salt, particularly salt produced by medium and small enterprises; and Mechanisation of various operations in the salt works along with other associated topics by experts of international repute.

7) 58th Indian Foundry Congress
The 58th Indian Foundry Congress will be held in Gujarat after a gap of 16 years. The event will be organized this time in Ahmedabad from 5-7 Feb’2010. The event is promoted by the Institute of Indian Foundrymen, Estd. 1950 and having H.O in Kolkatta, it has 26 chapters and 3500 members all over India. The event will have two exhibitions namely IFEX 2010 and Cast India Expo.
The salient features of the event are:
- Inaugural function of 58th Indian Foundry Congress on 5th February, 2010 at 4.00 p.m. in presence of 1400+ delegates from India and abroad.
- 50-60 paper presentations by eminent speakers, around 1200-1400 delegates from India, China, Europe, US and other countries.
