Climate

Gujarat's weather has attracted so many to this attractive part of India, where the skies are always blue, the breeze is always cool, and the sun beams high. OK, it can get hot and humid in the summer with our tropical climate. Nights usually offer pleasant relief from the hot days. In the winter, air billowing down from North-West, can drop the temperature about 30 degrees during the nights. Rainfall occur from June to August, is mostly from thundershowers, with fairly large amounts falling within short periods of time. Winds prevail from the south-west throughout rest the year. Destructive winds are infrequent. On rare occasions, tropical storms affect the costal areas with strong winds and heavy rains. Average temperatures in summer vary from 30 degrees to 45 degrees Centigrade and in Winter they vary between 2 degrees to 35 degrees Centigrade.
